Happy New Year everyone. Kelsi has been having a lot of fun with her Aunt Shayla and Aunt Kaylee and Grandma and Grandpa Manderino this last week as they have been visiting from California. She is being spoiled as she is being held all the time. On Sunday Kelsi received her name and blessing and it was wonderful to have so much of the family together. Grandma and Grandpa Calderwood as well as Aunt Melanie and Aunt Jalyn came down to visit as well for the day. We are doing pretty well, still tired but getting a little more used to the lack of sleep. Kelsi is still an iddy biddy and we have to go in to the doctor this week for another weight check to make sure she is gaining weight. She was still below birth weight at her 2 and a half week appt last week and if she hasn't gained weight by Thursday we are going to need to start supplementing her feedings with a special breastmilk formula with added protein and calories. She has been through a lot so far, but overall is a very happy baby.

Karina, she is so freaking cute!! I love seeing your family. They are tons of fun and I miss them! I had to supplement formula with Payson and Ashlyn from the jaundice. They were tiny. I only produced skim milk with Payson. :) Don't get discouraged, and do whatever you know is best for both of you. Anyone that tells you one way of feeding your kid is the only way to go is full of it and should not be allowed to talk to new moms who haven't slept in a month. That's the best thing about being a parent. You get to make the final decision on what is best for your kid. Tons (and I literally mean tons) of people give you suggestions and you get to say, "Hey, sounds good, I might try that one." or, "Hey, you are a freaking psycho. Leave now." Call if you need any other advice. :)

I don't think it is possible to have a cuter little face!! She is so adorable! I love that you put so many recent pictures of her on your blog--I enjoyed every one! I especially love the close-up in her blessing outfit, the red Christmas dress, and santa hat pics! I hope you are doing well and adjusting to everything. It's tough. Congratulations!

There all so cute...the pictures I mean. I can see a little of John in her. Your family is so beautiful. Glad things are going well for you all. I think you know that I couldn't breastfeed any of my kids and it was hard in rexburg because everyone said something but you will do what is best for you. I have learned to ignore people and do what is best for me and the kids. You are such a wonderful mommy!!
