This summer...so far

I have been a horrible picture taker lately. I used to keep my camera with me at all times, but...not so much anymore. This July it FINALLY became summer in Northern Idaho. Kelsi has been able to chill at the splash pad (not pictured), beach on the lake (not pictured again), at the pool at the Kroc center (nope, so pic) and out on the boat (again....NOT PICTURED). BOO to me.

We took a mini family "vacay" to Clarkston to visit friends over the 4th weekend. The night of the 3rd a bunch of us got together to roast s'mores and let the kids go crazy with the fireworks. WORST NIGHT EVER FOR KELSI. She HATED the fireworks and screamed for an hour straight before we just took her home. She kept saying "I hate the noise! I want to cover my eyes!" So, on the 4th, we decided to put her to bed and lay low...it was a GREAT decision.

We had a BBQ with friends that was SO much fun (no pics of course). I will just have to keep the pictures in my memory. I was able to have my favorite mexican food and see some of my favorite people, so overall it was a great trip! I DID snap a few pics of the cute kiddos of course.

Can you all tell wha't happening in this picture? Kelsi won't come up because of the plants. Grant is showing her it's nothing to be afraid of.

We took a family walk at the river. These two little ones used to get pushed up and down this stretch when they were itty bitty's and their mama's used to walk this stretch when they were pregnant with them! Now they are running ahead. Time is FLYING.

I gotta find some places like this in CDA. They just threw rocks into the river FOREVER.

This activity also kept them entertained FOREVER.

I am going to try REALLY hard to be better about pictures. Summer is flying by. I can't believe it's half over already.

In other news, I took my first real shot at potty training Kelsi today.....all I can say is that girl has bladder CONTROL!!! (not in a good way) More about this topic another day.

Jane did not like fireworks either. She kept her eyes and ears covered the whole time. Oh well, maybe next year. I heard you should put earplugs in your kids' ears for fireworks. All we had were their blankets and some ear muffs. :)

That looks and sounds like so much fun. I wish we had something like that in Burley. the kids would love it! I just can't believe summer is almost over!
