This is the invite to my baby shower. The colors match perfectly with the color scheme of our little girl's nursery! (For some reason, I can't figure out how to edit that blank spot out of the picture...I am technology challenged it seems. I scanned this into my computer, but you get the idea!)

25 weeks along! I am just shy of entering my last trimester. 15 weeks seems like it is just around the corner. I had another Dr. appt this week and everything still seems fine. I am measuring well and baby girl's heartrate was 150. She has been doing a lot of kickboxing lately, usually in the afternoon and then again when I am trying to go to sleep. I was really excited to feel her move, and while it is reassuring that she is doing well...to be honest it bugs me...(does that make me a terrible mother?) As you can tell from the picture I have gained a total of (wait for it.....) 20 lbs. I am pretty embarrassed to admit it, but I told myself that I would be honest in this blog. I have actually had a really hard time with it and even broke down in front of my doctor who tried to assure me that I was doing fine and she wasn't worried about me at all. Doesn't really help...but it was nice of her to try. John tried hiding our scale and has been a doll about everything, but do you really think he is going to admit that I look like a cow? Anyway, John and I are still undecided about a name. We like 2-3 with one leading at this point, but we are still not 100% sure. My friends are throwing me and the baby a shower on Sept. 5th, which is super nice of them. Other than that, there is really nothing new going on with the pregnancy (still sick if I don't take my medicine). I have had some siatic pain which hasn't been fun, but I am dealing with that as well. Stay tuned for next month's update! :)

This is the bedding that we picked out...she is going to be our little monkey!!! :)

We found out that we are having a GIRL! We were pretty surprised, but are both very excited! She is currently 10 oz. and her heartbeat was at 154 beats a minute and she is 5 inches long from head to bum. Her ultrasound looked healthy and she was very camera shy as she constantly moved her hands up to cover her face....seeing her little feet and watching her swallow (very cool by the way) made her mommy tear up. I am 21 weeks along and am just about to start wearing some of the new maternity clothes that I bought last weekend. I have to unbutton the top button of most of my shorts/capris, so it is probably about that time. I gained 9 lbs since my last Dr. appt which has freaked me out...but my doctor said that I am right where I am supposed to be and my body was just "catching up" from not gaining too much in the beginning. I have gained about 14 lbs total at this point. YIKES. Only 19 more weeks to go!

So I am 17 weeks along now. I had another healthy Dr. appt a few days ago. Baby's heart rate was down to 165. Pretty healthy kid! I scheduled my ultrasound for next month and John and I are very excited to find out if we are having a boy or a girl! I am no longer spending most of my time in the bathroom thanks to a wonderful little drug called Zophran. I feel partially normal again. I am having a hard time at this point in my pregnancy because I don't have a prego belly yet, so it just looks like I am getting chubby around the middle, but I have been told that once I get my belly I will really miss my waist! I haven't felt the baby move at this point (that I know of) but am expecting to feel the first flutters any day now. Thanks for all of your well wishes so far! Until next time....

I pretty much just look fat, not pregnant yet. That lump sticking out over my pants wasn't there a month ago. I have gained three pounds in the last 4 weeks and about 4 overall, all in my waist. John and I had a doctor appt the other day(hence the trendy tape on my arm from lab work) and our little one had a healthy heart rate of 173 beats per minute. We were overwhelmed with emotion when we heard the little heartbeat. John heard it before I did and I was really worried that I wouldn't hear it. My morning sickness hasn't gone anywhere yet. I have been told that the 2nd trimester is a lot better. We shall see. Next time you see me I will be even more of a tub.

Speaking of birthdays...John turned the big 32 a couple months ago. LOOK AT ALL THAT SMOKE! Good thing he has a hot young wife!

John and I are having so much fun with our puppies. They are just about 9 months now and I can't believe how big they are! They keep us laughing every day and they are great practice for our future family that we will have someday!

I can't believe it has been over a year since I have updated this site!!! I am horrible at this! Well, I have many fun adventures coming up in the next couple months so, I will make sure to add some pictures to this site as soon as I can! This picture was taken last month when my friends took me out for a birthday night!

Due to the overwhelming request for more wedding photos...here are a couple. The coloring on this one was great. This picture was taken on the big grass hill in front of the Los Angeles temple. It is a good thing that John did not drop me. Otherwise I would have shown up at the reception with grass stains all over my dress from rolling down the hill.
