Further proof that I am an incompetent mother
Yesterday, when I went to get Kelsi out of daycare at the gym, she looked a little different than when I dropped her off. One of the babysitters had given her hair a french braid! What a cutie! I was so excited and then dumbfounded on how she managed to sit still and let her do that? Kelsi hates it when I just brush her hair, let alone put pigtails in it, which is the extent of my hair knowledge.

It isn't you...I promise. I know how to french braid and Ava won't sit still long enough to have one that is straight, she will hardly let me brush her hair! Kids are always better for other people, and other people always have more energy to do things. Once Ava came home from my friends house with her hair curled and up all fancy, and it made me feel bad too, cause I am a professional!! :)
You are TO competant!!! :D You silly girl! How cool that the girls at the gym care enough to play with her hair!! That is neato, she is just adorable. I do know how to french braid...but there is no way I have the patience to try to do it to my girls...they are wiggleworms, and they are 6 & 8!!! :D
Kels is as cute as EVER!!! :D
I so could teach you if I was around. But by my experience daughters never like when there kids do there hair. Ashlyn screams and screams or crys and crys. Its so fun in the morning. What to look forward to ahhh.
If you haven't learned by the time the Calderwood reunion rolls around I'd be happy to teach you. One thing that helps Aubrey sit still is sitting her in front of a mirror and letting her play with all her hair accessories as I'm doing her hair. Or having her watch tv. She's adorable!
When you learn how, you'll have to teach me! :) Do you know how to make all those cute flower bows and ribbon bows? I really want to learn how to make those things!
Here's a couple of websites if you're interested.

I remember when I learned how to french braid... my mom sad down in front of me and told me to braid her hair, but each time add a little more hair... it totally worked! So just start out with a little bit of hair and add a little each time you go to cross the hair over. So if you need help... you can let me know too. Very cute pictures by the way!
